Congratulations to the current Women’s World Surfing League’s (WSL) #1 ranked surfer, Courtney Conlogue – Carver Skateboards’ newest team rider!

Conlogue just took hold of the coveted yellow jersey at the last event, the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA in early August. We are stoked on her accomplishment, and so proud to witness such a successful injury comeback story.
Courtney suffered a major ankle injury during the Australian leg of the 2014 season. There was a possibility she could be ready for the challenge of the Bells event, but she opted-out instead, choosing to focus on her healing and rehabilitation. It was a tough call for such a driven athlete who thrives on the adrenaline rush of competition.
She not only regained full use of her ankle, but took advantage of the time she had to work on her stamina, her art and herself. Truly an inspiring tale that made us at Carver want to work out and take up prone paddling too:
Suffice to say her decision was well-founded, as now Conlogue is strategically positioned for a World Title this year.
Courtney stopped by Carver Headquarters to drill a few trucks, then took them out for a spin out front with the Carver crew:
Courtney has been riding a Carver for several years now, so she has plenty of ideas on the design of her new pro model, the Sea Tiger. We’re also currently working on a video showcasing her stylish and powerful surfskating.
Congrats Courtney, keep ripping!
