The best surfer is the one having the most fun. This old saying held true in yesterday’s Big Wave Tour event, the Todos Santos Challenge. Carver pro rider and WCT contestant, Josh Kerr, not only came out on top, but had the biggest smile of them all while doing so. This was the fourth contest ever held at Todos Santos – an island off of Mexico with underwater sea mounts around it that create the magnificent waves around the island.
In the Final, Kerr bested Greg Long, Carlos Burle, Damien Hobgood, Nic Lamb, and Rusty Long. Josh kept to his strategy of staying busy throughout his heats and it paid off, as it has been a while since he has taken top honors at any event. With Greg Long’s second place finish, he now leads the BWT in the rfatings race.
