JAKE DAVIS’ ROAD TO RECOVERY

On 31 Aug 2016 By Vanessa Davey

One of Carver Skateboards’ first Team Riders, Jake Davis, has had level 8-10 back pain for the better part of a year. He hit his head on a reef while surfing in Hawaii and was able to walk but was in extreme pain. He had scary jolts of pain such that he was afraid to move for fear of becoming paralyzed. Jake saw doctors and specialists to correct the issue but until recently nobody was able to help him.

Since then, the Davis family was fortunate enough to find a surgeon that was able to diagnose and operate on Jake. He had a 4 inch incision made in his back to access the veins to be cauterized and removed. The surgery was successful and Jake is now recovering and will be undergoing rehab in the coming weeks.

Please send good vibes for Jake’s complete recovery, and visit his YouCaring page for donations to help Jake pay for the high cost of out-of-network spinal neuro surgery, and for the months of rehabilitation costs to come.
